Tom is the Founder of Inky Thinking UK and leads the team. Tom pursued a career in Human Resources before diving into the world of visual communication. With artistic parents, an eye for graphic design soon followed. Tom’s first book, ‘Meet with Impact’, was published in 2019, providing anyone who leads meetings with a set of practical tools and visual techniques. Tom’s specialisms include graphic recording and customer experience mapping.

Esther works at the heart of the business, and the team often liken her working demeanour to that of a gracious swan, gliding on water whilst busily holding together a multitude of activities. Esther manages the Neuland UK online shop, alongside business processes including marketing, CRM and finance. She thoroughly enjoys her work, and when not in the office she loves nothing more than being outdoors in the stunning Northumbrian countryside.

Maddie is an artist and visual communicator, specialising in illustration and animation and based in the South of the UK. She is passionate about communicating through unique modern visuals, creating innovative methods to get ideas across and out into the world. Maddie especially enjoys the challenge of conveying messages using humour and visual interest to surprise and capture the eye of the viewer.

Felipe is an illustrator, scriber, visual storyteller & graphic designer originally from Colombia, living in London. He has worked as an illustrator and visual communications designer for companies in sectors ranging from UX and government to consulting and health.  Felipe’s passion lies in communicating and making ideas, processes and any type of content and information accessible through illustration and visual storytelling. His work is characterised by his, bold, playful and adaptable approach, tapping into both vector and hand drawn techniques. Examples of his work include commercial and editorial illustration as well as live scribing, storyboards, rich pictures and infographics.

Becky is a live scribe artist, muralist and belly dance enthusiast with a penchant for bold patterns and statement earrings and has over 14 years of experience in the art industry. She has worked across various disciplines, from theatre design, event design, caricaturing and illustration and has a passion for visual storytelling. Becky has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a pen, is creatively charged by the natural world around her and her eclectic movie collection. When Becky is not doodling, you can find her singing into a hairbrush, walking in nature, or hosting friends.

Jen is a Canadian artist who lives in Tucson, Arizona. She is a people-loving, outgoing creative with a huge passion for what she does. Jen works in a broad range of styles and mediums and her work tends to be human-centric, with a focus on narrative development. Over the last decade she has worked with clients of all kinds⁠— from start-ups to large corporations. Outside of illustration and art, Jen loves all things plants, aliens, dogs, nature, comic books, sci-fi, romance and monsters.

Drawing is in Fiona’s blood. Fiona hails from Yorkshire, UK where she studied graphic design before moving to London. Having been asked to paint a decorative ceiling in Portugal, she began painting murals and has since had a painting shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, which happily sold! She works as a storyboard artist, fashion illustrator, graphic recorder and digital illustrator. Fiona’s specialisms include graphic recording, customer experience mapping and illustrated photography.

At heart, Caroline is a sense maker and storyteller. Her previous career of two-plus decades in traditional and online media gives her an abundance of experience in re-forming complex information into engaging narratives. Working as a graphic recorder and illustrator, Caroline supports clients to find and share their stories in a visually impactful and engaging way.

Verity illustrates, animates and teaches people how to communicate visually. She is a Brit based in Spain, working in both English and Spanish. She graduated with a degree in textile design and spent over twenty years in sales in various multinational companies. She now combines her creative skills with her business experience to help clients engage their audiences and tell compelling visual business stories. Verity’s specialisms include graphic recording and animated video production.

Jenn’s lifelong passion for art came about by being immersed in the field from a young age, thanks to her mother who herself was an artist. Jenn studied Illustration and Graphic Design and has been working as a freelance illustrator undertaking a range of projects from corporate projects and logos to children’s book illustrations. Jenn loves nothing more than illustrating in her office accompanied by Truman, her furry office companion.

Daisy is an illustrator and designer from London. She graduated from Manchester School of Art with a First-class Honours in Illustration. Her confident style and bold use of colour means her transition into Inky Thinking projects has been a natural one. In 2018, Daisy co-founded a feminist greetings card company called ‘Out of the Box’, where she illustrates the designs. Daisy’s specialisms include animated video production, customer experience mapping and rich picture design.

Made in Cambridge, UK, Andy loves colouring-in and, where appropriate, going over the edges. He has drawn for as long as he can remember and has maintained a passion and enthusiasm as an Illustrator and Designer for over 25+ years. Andy has worked on projects that include illustrations for cards and merchandising for the National Gallery and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Flattered to be offered the opportunity to work within the Inky Thinking team, Andy will bring his traditional and digital graphics skills to work on Inky Thinking client projects that require critical attention to detail.

Esther is a Toronto-based writer, editor, and actor, specialising in scriptwriting and voiceover. Working from her home studio, she has over 15 years of experience giving a voice to messages ranging from commercials to explainer videos. As a writer, Esther’s worked with clients big and small, from local brands to world-renowned organisations. She’s passionate about storytelling above all else, and bringing a visual element to her writing through the magic of words.

Carla is our lead professional photographer at Inky Thinking. After earning a degree in Photography at the University for Creative Arts, UK she joined Inky Thinking to explore her passion for photography, design and illustration. Carla produces high quality imagery, including informal reportage images, capturing the story of a client project, meeting, conference or event.

Tom has been an illustrator for nearly two decades since graduating from Falmouth College of Arts, UK. He has a passion for telling stories though illustration. Tom spent 10 years as a political cartoonist before moving into the world of writing and illustrating kids’ books, he writes and illustrates for Bloomsbury, Oxford University Press, Walker Books. As well as working in publishing Tom has also spent time in the world of animation design; commercial illustration and creating a range of greetings cards.
